Eucharistic procession, art show and blood drive planned

Incarnation St. Terrance Parish, 5757 W. 127th St.: Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession at the 11 a.m. Mass June 11 in the parking lot at Incarnation Church. The event will take place outside, weather permitting. The Blessed Sacrament, protected by a canopy, will be carried in a procession as Eucharistic hymns are sung. The priest and people will stop at stations for a proclamation of the Holy Gospel, a prayer and a blessing. The fourth and final station features a solemn blessing given to the four corners of the world. If it rains, the procession will take place inside the church. All are welcome.

Summer clothing drive for nursing home seniors is June 10 and 11. The Incarnation St. Terrence Human Concerns Committee will collect items for local nursing homes. New and gently used clothes for adults can be dropped off in donation boxes at Incarnation Church and the St. Terrence worship site, 4300 S. 119th Place in Alsip. Items most needed are lightweight long- and short-sleeve shirts for men and women in sizes medium to 3X, pull-on pants, sweatshirts and socks. St. John the Evangelist, 2640 Park Drive.: One worship service at 10 a.m. followed by the annual parish picnic on the front lawn. Invite a friend for fun and fellowship. Participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. The vestry will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road: Josie’s Acrylic Expressions Art Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 11. Member Josie Rodriguez shares her artistic gifts with the congregation and community. After worship, fellowship and the show will be available at the Community House, 847 Hutchison Road.
