Traditional Outfits with a Modern Touch

When it comes to fashion, we all want to be trendy, look good and feel comfortable. Eid festivity calls for presenting the best version of ourselves. Outfits play a vital role in this regard as the saying goes, what you wear is how you present yourself to the world; especially today when human contacts are so quick, fashion is instant language.
This year, both Pahela Baishakh, first day of Bengali New Year, and Eid-ul-Fitr are being celebrated within the span of a week. So, fashion houses have come up with a wide range of product lines keeping an eye on tradition and modernity.
It has been observed that most of the emerging brands are aware of the global fashion trends as well as our domestic culture and traditions.

A delicate balance of tradition and modernity has brought about much-needed dynamism in the retail market.
With the target of catering to the needs of fashion conscious girls and women, the brands are displaying a vast collection of handloom silk and cotton sarees as well as other value-added sarees and embellished lawn dresses.

Talking to Daily Sun, a couple of entrepreneurs and fashion designers mentioned that the brands are focusing on light colours and cotton-made outfits as Eid comes in summer this year. Besides, an increasing number of women are showing their penchant for wearing outfits that reflect Bengali tradition.

“Although we are primarily focusing on Eid trends, we also have good collections of clothes that reflect Bengali culture and traditions. Besides, since we are going to celebrate Eid in summer, most of the customers are opting for cotton light colour fabric,” Biplob Saha, owner of Bishworang, told Daily Sun.

The noted fashion designer mentioned that the customers in general are buying two types of dresses – formal and casual targeting the mornings and night parties during the Eid.

“There is demand for semi-long dresses as females feel comfortable with such outfits,” he said.

“YELLOW’s customers are loyal towards dressing up in our exquisite Lawn collection, spectacular Panjabis and other traditional selections we offer, especially around the Eid season. That being said, we have seen a rise in western fashion influences in recent years. People are embracing trends and making their own style statements with our outstanding fashion outfits,” Chowdhury told Daily Sun.
Marking the Eid-ul-Fitr this year, YELLOW is providing an incredible discount of up to 22 percent upon payment with selected debit/credit cards and payment platforms, namely HSBC, DBBL, bKash, Nagad and more. This offer will be valid till the day before Eid.
A new lifestyle brand ‘TAVAAS’ has debuted in the market with the promise of aesthetic and trendy clothing for all. TAVAAS is offering 15 percent discount on payment with credit card of selected banks ahead of Eid-ul Fitr.
TAVAAS chief executive officer Mohammed Rashel Mahmud said that TAVAAS has begun a journey with aesthetic and trendy clothing, and lifestyle products for all.
All the brands are ready to welcome shoppers with trendy and quality outfits that combine modern styles with traditional touches. But it is important to keep in mind that fashion is not just about what you are wearing. It is about how you carry yourself in whatever you are wearing.  So, choose something which you can carry comfortably and confidently; and never forget to smile. It is one of the most important things of your get-up.
